A rapidly-expanding London coffee chain has lodged plans for a shop in Chester city centre.

Black Sheep Coffee is set to take on a vacant retail premises on Northgate Street.

The coffee chain, founded in the capital in 2013 by university friends Gabriel Shohet and Eirik Holth, has had 'coming soon' branding in the window of the empty venue since the autumn.

Now, the business - which has dozens of sites around London as well as premises in Birmingham, Manchester and outside the UK - has submitted planning applications to Cheshire West and Chester Council.
