Climate Emergency Inspire site

18 October 2021

Tackling the Climate Emergency remains a key priority for Cheshire West and Chester Council.
We know there are many businesses already playing their part to make their operations greener, alongside local groups and individuals taking action to make their communities a better place to live. That’s why we are launching a new online platform named ‘Inspire.’

The dedicated website will provide a fresh space to share ideas and stories about what people are doing locally to reduce carbon emissions and improve the natural environment.

The Council’s Climate Emergency Response Plan sets out plans to help the borough become carbon neutral by 2045, and Inspire is a place for people to share the actions they are taking against climate change.
The site will also showcase community and business projects that are promoting greener living and a more sustainable future.

Inspire allows all these stories to be told through a variety of mediums, including written content, image galleries, videos, and blogs.

We’d love to hear what you are doing in your organisation to cut carbon emissions and steps you are taking to protect the environment. This could be a major change to your operations or even a volunteering group set up by your staff to do a litter pick in the local area or work to help restore a local habitat.

With your permission, some of these stories may be shared in our monthly Climate Emergency enewsletter or via our social media channels to inspire even more people to take action.

To get involved simply visit the Inspire webpage and upload your story.
