Ellesmere Port brownfield site to be turned into modern industrial park

6 October 2021

Plans to transform a brownfield site in Ellesmere Port into "a modern and sustainable industrial development" have been given the go-ahead.

Commercial real estate investor and developer, Firethorn Trust, has secured planning permission to regenerate the 42.5 acre site next to junction 7 of the M53.

Firethorn had purchased the land from Peel Ports Group in November 2020.

The site will be known as Link Logistics Park and will provide up to 700,000 sq ft of modern logistics accommodation, as well as creating approximately 800 jobs.
