New authentic Indian takeaway opens in Northwich

19 January 2021

A pop-up Indian kitchen has opened in Northwich which prides itself on serving high quality, authentic food for people from the town and beyond to enjoy.

K2H Creative Indian Kitchen Northwich launched before Christmas and is an offshoot of its sister restaurant, a popular fine-dining Indian eatery in Sandbach.

The ultimate aim is for the concept to eventually become its very own Indian restaurant when the right unit becomes available.

The idea behind this new business in Northwich has been explained by owners Nagendra Prasad and Monika Palka who look after Kanya Bistro and Bar in the town. They have also outlined what they feel sets their new venture apart from what’s currently available in the area.

“Our food is all authentic and prepared by top quality chefs,” said Nagendra. “It is our aim to reflect the true picture of Indian cuisine and show that food from there is not all about heat, spiciness and curry but unique flavours and treats as well.

“Our Chefs prepare a special mix of dry whole spices for different dishes by grinding them in-house in our kitchens.  With many years of training and experience in top class hotels in India and with international experience, they are well equipped with the knowledge and art of balancing flavours and extracting natural colours from ingredients whilst cooking a distinct ‘gravy’ for each dish on the menu. Our quest is simple; to serve the same food as we enjoyed at home with divine flavours.”

Monika added: “We have seen over in Sandbach that customers love the food we produce and the tastes and flavours that we create. It’s our ambition to introduce the people of Northwich to wonderful traditional Indian flavours and to shine a spotlight on the deliciously unique dishes that come from India’s many diverse regions.”

Nagendra then went on to outline the future plans for K2H in Northwich, with eyes firmly set on opening an Indian restaurant in the town.

“It’s our aim to open premises permanently here for K2H Creative Indian Kitchen Northwich when the right place becomes available,” commented Nagendra. “In the meantime however we are using one of our kitchens at Kanya to produce meals for takeaway until we can finalise a unit.

“If people from Northwich and the surrounding areas are looking for delicious Indian cuisine to try then I would urge them to place an order and experience the quality for themselves.”

Takeaways are currently available via Kanya’s website, Uber Eats, Just Eat and Tiffin Tom, and the business also has its own delivery drivers. Collections can also be picked up from Kanya Bistro in Northwich.
