A change of use application to convert the existing Footgolf building at Mollington Grange Business Park into a doggy day care facility has been approved by Cheshire West and Chester Council on a 12-month trial basis.
The approval was granted with a number of conditions, including a limit of eight dogs on-site and only allowing the facility to open between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.
The intention behind limiting the planning consent to a 12-month period is to enable the Council to monitor the impact of any noise on neighbouring amenities, including the nearby care home.
The proposal, put forward by L Bell, will see the timber-clad building – originally used as the Footgolf reception – reconfigured to include a staff area, reception, and internal play area for dogs.
