Plastic Park

16 August 2021

A 'Plastic Park' could be set to be built near Ellesmere Port as CheshireLive understands a planning application is set to be submitted to Cheshire West and Chester Council this month.

The site would be based at Protos on Grinsome Road and could create more than 130 jobs if the planning application is successful.

Two facilities on the site have already received planning consent by the Cheshire West and Chester Council and now the company will apply for five more.

The aim of the project is to reduce need for virgin plastic and provide a circular economy solution to plastic waste in the north west, as well as a single site solution for separation and recycling of plastics.
