Susan Howarth & Company cracks Chambers & Partner and gains promotion in The Legal 500

8 January 2020

Local Northwich-based solicitors practice Susan Howarth & Company has, for the first time ever, been ‘acknowledged as a Recognised Practitioner for Family Law expertise’ by the Chambers & Partners directory 2019/2020.

Furthermore, the team have also proudly achieved their best result ever as a Leading Firm in The Legal 500 for the provision of Family Law services - promoted yet again from Tier 4 to Tier 3, in addition to Director Susan Howarth also being recognised as a Leading Individual which is an amazing professional accomplishment.

Both directories are widely acknowledged as the definitive guides that identify and rank the most outstanding law firms.

Acknowledgement in Chambers & Partners is a major feather in the cap - arguably the legal industry’s most prestigious directory covering over 180 jurisdictions throughout the world, it’s notoriously the most difficult one to crack, with public law often underrepresented in their regional Family rankings.

Published annually, The Legal 500 ranks the top 50 law firms in the UK, recommended purely on merit and reflecting a detailed process of research, analysis and assessment conducted in accordance with strict guidelines.
Director Susan Howarth said, ‘This is a phenomenal achievement for the whole team - we are all immensely proud that we as a firm have attained this level of recognition in such esteemed legal directories’.

Susan Howarth & Co Solicitors was established in 1997 with the belief that everyone has a right to access justice, a belief that remains at the heart of the firm to this day.

The practice has built a strong reputation as one of the best family law firms outside of the cities, offering the full spectrum of services to both private and publicly funded clients and with the benefit of a Family Law Contract and a Mediation Contract with the Legal Aid Agency to enable the efficient delivery of those eligible for legal aid.

SH&Co. also offers high-quality legal advice in commercial property, residential property and private client law covering wills, trusts, probate, powers of attorney Court of Protection and care of the elderly.

Community-focussed and forward-thinking, the firm prides itself on its people – a team of professional, efficient and friendly lawyers who deliver clear and practical legal advice alongside transparent pricing.
