Plans to amalgamate three vacant Chester city centre retail units and convert them into a new gym have been given the go-ahead. The transformation of the empty stores at Centurion Park on Victoria Road, which includes the former Laura Ashley premises, will create 15 full-time jobs.
The Gym Ltd, which has 190 sites across the UK including one in Wilmslow, have had a change of use planning application rubber-stamped by Cheshire West and Chester Council. The firm says its aim is "to increase access to health and fitness activities" by offering "a low cost and flexible gym membership option".
