COVID19 - Cheshire West and Chester Council Role

Stronger Futures

Cheshire West and Chester Council ran a community engagement exercise earlier this year (2020) to help inform the local plans we are developing in our response to the pandemic; looking at opportunities to overcome challenges and build a stronger future for the borough.

This engagement exercise closed on 17 September 2020 and the feedback we have received so far is already making a difference by helping to inform the local plans we are developing.  A Stronger Futures plan will be published autumn 2020.

Further opportunities to have your say include a consultation on our budget plans, which will start in October 2020, to ensure we have the money to deliver our plans for a stronger future and tackle our financial challenge.

There are still a number of ways to share your ideas:

Through a series of animated infographics the Council has been able to highlight how Council services have played their part during the Coronavirus pandemic.

We have also worked with some local businesses to capture video case studies, which look at how these businesses have addressed some of challenges they have faced during the ongoing pandemic.

Visit our Case Studies page to view these case studies, which includes Chester Zoo, Indigo and Technoprint, and see case studies from other Cheshire West businesses.  If you would like us to do a case study on your business please email:
