Peel NRE's scheme to build a number of recycling facilities within the boundary of the wider Ince Park site in Ellesmere Port has been recommended for approval.
The Resource Recovery Park (RRP) known as Protos extends across approximately 331 acres of land at Ince Marshes.
Applicant Richard Barker, of Peel NRE, part of Peel L&P, is seeking permission for a material recycling facility on Plot 10a, two plastics recycling facilities on Plots 11 and 12, a polymer laminate recycling facility and a hydrogen, refuelling station on Plot 9b on land at Protos, Ince Marshes off Grinsome Road.
The material recycling facility would sort, process and separate 75,000 tonnes per annum of dry mixed recyclable materials arising from household kerbside collections, commercial premises and waste management companies. It would comprise a steel-framed building approximately 63,000 sq ft floor area (including offices and mezzanine), with an overall height of 15.1m.
