Event description

Join HyNet projects and contractors to hear about opportunities for the supply chain

HyNet is transforming the North West England and North Wales region into one of the world’s leading low-carbon industrial clusters.

By enabling production of low carbon, everyday essentials - from cement to power - HyNet is helping to create and protect thousands of jobs across the region.

A major milestone was reached last week, with the UK Government and Eni confirming financial close on the system which will transport and store carbon dioxide emitted by industry.

Committed to the growth of a competitive UK supply chain, the HyNet Alliance of project developers is and is pleased to present the HyNet Supply Chain Summit: A Region of Makers & Innovators on 12th June 2025 at Crowne Plaza Chester.

With presentations from clients and their engineering, procurement and construction partners, this event will spotlight current and upcoming opportunities, helping suppliers understand how they can get involved and add value.

Delivered in partnership with NOF, the Summit is supported by Origin Ellesmere Port, Ambition North Wales and Enterprise Cheshire & Warrington.

Beyond HyNet, the North West and North Wales has a sustained pipeline of clean energy projects creating opportunities for the supply chain. Mersey Tidal Power, set to provide predictable electricity generation to Liverpool City Region and beyond, will also feature in the event.

Deadline to register interest: 19th May 2025, 12 noon

Your registration of interest will be reviewed by a panel and you will be informed by NOF if you have successfully received a place at the event.

Members of NOF and the North West Hydrogen Alliance will receive discounted entry. One representative per company only. Interest in paid-for exhibition space can also be indicated on the registration form.

More about HyNet

The Liverpool Bay CCS project, recently greenlit by Government and Eni, will provide an initial 4.5 million tonnes per annum storage capacity of carbon dioxide per year through new and reused pipelines.

The HyNet Alliance brings together over twenty operators and project developers connecting to HyNet’s carbon dioxide and hydrogen networks.

Projects presenting at the HyNet Supply Chain Summit include new carbon capture plants at Encyclis’ Protos Energy Recovery Facility, Heidelberg Materials’ Padeswood Cement Works and Viridor’s Runcorn Energy from Waste site, plus EET Hydrogen’s production plant at Stanlow Manufacturing Complex.

Uniper’s Connah’s Quay Low Carbon Power project will also be featured alongside Evero’s InBECCS and Storengy’s HyKeuper schemes.

Mersey Tidal Power is being developed by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority to harness the predictable and renewable energy of the River Mersey’s tidal range. The project aims to generate low-carbon electricity for hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses, contributing significantly to the UK’s net zero goals and energy security.
