60th birthday for Firthfield Pet Store

Firthfield Pet Store on Witton Street, Northwich, is celebrating its 60th year of serving the local community.

Founder Joseph Egerton, having worked as an international dog show judge, first opened Firthfield Kennels in Rudheath in 1959, followed by Firthfield Pet Store in 1962. His son Philip later married Thelma, who owns and manages the shop to this day.
