Chester hospitality tech firm Hop Software launches HopLite

A Chester hospitality tech firm is helping pubs and small accommodation providers go green.

Hop Software, based at Venture Point and known for its property management system (PMS), has developed a new entry-level product, HopLite, designed for small businesses seeking affordable digital tools.

The new software offers streamlined functionality for venues with one to 15 rooms and eliminates the need for paper, supporting environmental efforts while reducing costs.

Sharon Smith, chief operating officer at Hop, said: "Smaller operators are being forced to choose between outdated manual systems or complex enterprise software designed for hotel chains where they are paying full price for lots of features which are not actually relevant to them.

"We have listened to that feedback in developing HopLite which gives pubs, smaller hotels and self-caterers the same digital tools used by larger hotels but at a fraction of the price."

HopLite was developed in response to industry trends and feedback from smaller operators, who said existing systems were either too outdated or overly complex for their needs.

HopLite aims to address those concerns by providing a focused, paperless system that also helps cut costs related to third-party bookings.

The new system features a commission-free booking engine, allowing businesses to keep 100 per cent of revenue from direct reservations, avoiding the typical 15-25 per cent commission charged by travel sites.

It is designed to be easy to implement, with single click on-boarding and 7-day support to help businesses transition smoothly without risking lost bookings.
