Chester solicitor appointed chair of North West R3

A leading solicitor from Aaron & Partners has been appointed chair of the North West region of R3, the UK’s trade body for restructuring, insolvency and turnaround professionals.

Mark Davies is a partner and head of the Restructuring & Insolvency team at the Chester-headquartered law firm, and will serve a three-year term as chair of R3’s regional committee.

Mark, who has been with Aaron & Partners for a decade and has worked in the insolvency sector for 38 years, previously spent three years as the committee’s vice-chair.

He has been actively involved with R3 for many years – regularly speaking at and chairing conferences and professional courses both nationally and regionally.

Describing the appointment as a ‘huge honour and privilege’, Mark said the North West region benefits from a particularly strong and engaged committee, and that he is keen to further raise awareness of R3 and its work across the region.

He said: “I’m very proud to have been elected Chair of R3 North West.

“The region has an exceptional community of restructuring and insolvency professionals, and I’m looking forward to working with the committee to continue promoting best practice, collaboration and early engagement with professional advice.”

“I also hope to help broaden R3’s reach across the region, including increased engagement with professionals and stakeholders based both inside and outside of the two major cities.
