An Ellesmere Port couple have launched a unique business "that's cheaper than therapy" and leaves customers "buzzing". Emma Selby, 38, and husband Gareth Selby, 41, opened Anger Issues Rage Rooms on Cloister Way in the town earlier this month.
The pair say "they're not promoting anger but allowing people to destress in a safe environment" by giving people the "space to break things you're not usually allowed to break". The half-hour sessions allow customers to use tools to smash items including televisions, kettles, toasters, hoovers, printers, and glass bottles in a safe environment.
There is also a smash wall, which customers can throw glass bottles at. Emma likened the sessions to a "HIIT" workout.
Emma added: "It's cheaper than therapy, definitely. It is a relief. It's a relief of tension. Whether you've had a stressful week at work or just general life. Or you just want to have fun with your friends. It's for anyone."
The couple get the unusable items through donations and later recycle them once destroyed. Solo rages (£35), duo rages (£60) and groups of three to four (£80) are available for 30 minute sessions.
