King's Award for Enterprise 2026 - Could it be you?

Cheshire Lieutenancy is running a morning workshop on May 1st for Cheshire organisations, large and small, who want to find out more about making a successful application for a King's Award for Enterprise, the highest official UK awards for outstanding achievement by UK businesses.

The 2024 King's Awards for Enterprise saw 252 businesses recognised across all four categories nationally; 161 for International Trade, 59 for Innovation, 29 for Sustainable Development and 8 for Promoting Opportunity through Social Mobility.

But are Cheshire, Halton and Warrington receiving their fair share of the awards? This event is aimed at Cheshire, Halton and Warrington based, talented and innovative businesses and organisations who would like to find out more about entering the 2026 King's Awards for Enterprise.

The workshop is designed to support organisations through the entry process, making it as quick and easy as possible. The event will offer hints and tips from previous recipients on how to submit the best entry you can and it will cover what the judges are looking for.

Robert Davis, Group CEO at EA Technology, a previous winner of two awards said; "Cheshire organisations submitted 37 applications and received 7 awards in 2024. He added; "Although entering for a 2026 award sounds a long way off, the new award application window is from 6th May to 12th September 2025, so it gives businesses and organisations the time to prepare and submit their entry (or entries) to give it their best shot to be successful. Sometimes it takes a while to assemble the data needed and to tell your story in the best possible way."

The workshop will share knowledge and advice from successful applicants and attendees will meet and get to know some of the businesses that are driving growth in the region and making a difference to communities and individuals. It will include breakout sessions with successful recipient entries from various categories.
