Northwich BID announces new manager of organisation

A one-time opposition leader on Cheshire West and Chester Council is the new manager of the Northwich Business Improvement District BID. 

Lynn Riley is responsible for all day-to-day running after replacing Nikki Halliday last month according to an announcement by the organisation.

Ms Riley was an opposition leader on Cheshire West and Chester Council, until around six years ago, as well as a councillor for Frodsham Ward. She was also a councillor on Frodsham Town Council.

The organisation said she will be an advocate for the town centre who has extensive experience across both the public sector and the private sector.

Ms Riley said: "I am delighted to be joining the team and working with local businesses to build on the fantastic progress already made. 

"Northwich has a rich history and a thriving business community and I look forward to supporting its continued growth and success."

Northwich BID is supported by local, levy-paying businesses who vote every five years on whether its work is worthwhile to them. 

In return it supports these businesses by increasing footfall and investing in improvements in partnership with other organisations such as Cheshire West and Chester Council and Northwich Town Council.

It is into its third term after an 80 per cent 'yes' vote for another five-year term at a vote in 2024.
