Warrington & Vale Royal College's Winsford campus to be transformed

Warrington & Vale College has begun installing new signage at its Weaver Street campus, which will become a new partner Institute of Technology (IoT).

The campus' evolution is part of the Government's plan to establish a network of IoTs across the country, aiming to provide top-tier technical education and training.

With a significant investment of £290 million from the Government and support from key employer partners, each IoT will focus on a particular specialism, including medical engineering, high-value manufacturing, cloud networking, and healthcare.

Winsford campus’ IoT will specialise in healthcare and life sciences, building on the success of the Health & Social Care Academy (HSCA) at Warrington campus, which launched in 2022.

The college has successfully secured funding to establish a HSCA at its Winsford campus, along with a new Life Sciences Academy featuring a fully-equipped science laboratory.
