Winsford woman to launch innovative portable toilet business

A Winsford entrepreneur is determined to make a difference in the world of portable toilets when her new business launches next year.

Leah Cherry is the founder of 'Privy', a portable toilet company which will provide units catering for people's sanitary needs.

Privy aims to go above and beyond with its portable toilets, which include sanitary bins and dispensers offering supplies such as pads, tampons, and incontinence pads.

She said: "I want Privy to become a brand that can make a change.

"I’ve constantly dealt with poor welfare facilities, having worked in a lot of construction sites, and I just want to make a huge change to the current standards.

“I just want to challenge what's already out there, and I think there is a huge opportunity to make a difference."

The toilets created by Privy are also equipped with accessories such as a passive air freshener, a shelf and hooks for coats and bags, and additional storage.

Leah hopes they will be stationed anywhere from construction sites and public spaces, to festivals and military bases.

She was delighted with Privy's nomination, which has seen her shortlisted in the innovation entrepreneur of the year category.
