Cheshire Farm Ice Cream celebrate 40 years in business

A family business on the outskirts of Chester built on a scoop of innovation is marking 40 years in the trade.

Cheshire Farm Ice Cream, founded in Tattenhall by Margaret and Tom Fell in 1986, began as a way to turn surplus milk into something new after European Economic Community (EEC) quotas limited how much milk they could sell.

The Fells decided to turn this challenge into an opportunity by using the excess milk to create "Real Dairy Ice Cream."
