Chester Restaurant Twenty Eight celebrates rave reviews in first year

Farm to table restaurant, twenty eight, is celebrating its first anniversary after some rave reviews over the past twelve months.

The Chester-based restaurant continues to impress, drawing praise from top national critics including The Telegraph’s William Sitwell and The Times’ Giles Coren.

Recognised for its fresh, locally sourced ingredients and inventive dishes, twenty eight is quickly becoming a must-visit spot in the UK.

Twenty eight is the sister restaurant to Michelin-recommended, Chef’s Table, both of which have just celebrated the first year of service on Pepper Street. Founded by Head Chef, Liam McKay, twenty eight has quickly become a destination dining spot in Chester. Central to its farm-to-table philosophy is a close partnership with Daresbury farm, Growing @ Field 28. This provides the restaurant with access to the freshest local ingredients and helps extend their growing commitment to minimising waste.

The menu led by Head Chef, Jay Tanner, offers an ever-changing array of tapas-style dishes that blend British and international influences. Earlier this year, Giles Coren described the restaurant "worth the visit to Chester itself”. Which was then followed by a visit from William Sitwell, who gave the venue 4-stars, stating it was a “great-value leap around the world, full of flavour, fun and charm”.
