Country pub near Chester is named as the best in Cheshire

Pubs and bars from across the entirety of the United Kingdom are celebrating after being named the best in their respective counties.

The award wins are part of the 2024 National Pub & Bar Awards, which each year crowns nearly 100 County Winners from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The Cholmondeley Arms, near Malpas, has been announced as the winner for Cheshire and comes after the country pub, which was once described as 'a lost cause', was named Great British Pub of the Year 2023.
