Ellesmere Port: Trainer Hayley takes home national award

An Ellesmere Port personal trainer has been named Britain's best female fitness instructor for 2025.

Hayley Ryder was crowned Female Fitness Instructor of the Year 2025 at the prestigious British Fitness Awards – in a record-breaking year that saw more than 57,000 applicants and over 4 million public votes.

The trainer, who runs popular weekly classes in Whitby and online training across the UK, is no stranger to national recognition.

This is her fifth British Fitness Awards title, following previous wins as Female PT of the Year in 2020, 2022 and 2023, as well as the Paul McHugh Award for Community and Charity Contribution in 2024.

Hayley said the latest honour means as much to her community as it does to her personally: “This award is really for everyone who has stood by me – my amazing group –including the girls who came along to support me on the night, the people who voted and all those who keep showing up week after week.

Beyond the trophies, Hayley has become well known for giving back, from organising charity fundraisers to helping underserved groups access health and wellbeing opportunities.

Her approach to fitness goes beyond physical results, focusing on creating positive change in the lives of those around her.

With another national title under her belt, Hayley Ryder has cemented her place as one of the UK’s very best fitness professionals - and a role model whose influence stretches far beyond the gym.
