West Cheshire & North Wales Chamber of Commerce has announced and is proud to support the 2026 Green Skills Youth Conference delivered in collaboration with Marketing Projects and the Young Chamber programme. This annual regional event held near Chester brings together secondary schools, colleges and employers to explore the fast‑growing world of green careers, from renewable energy and environmental science to sustainable construction, transport and digital innovation.
With demand for green skills in the North West and Wales expected to rise from 20,000 to 40,000 over the next four years, this conference helps young people understand the opportunities ahead through hands‑on workshops, employer engagement and a dedicated careers fair.

Schools and organisations that get involved will be part of a high‑impact regional event connecting educators, employers and young people who are passionate about climate action.”

There are a number of ways to get involved:
- Free Student Tickets – Schools, academies and colleges attend free (with a refundable £250 booking fee). Home educated students are also invited from Year 9 upwards.
- Sponsorship Opportunities – 5 places available for organisations wanting to play a leading role in the day. Sponsors feature prominently before, after and on the day.
- Career Fair Stands (£99) – 15 stands available for employers who want to showcase their sector and speak directly with students exploring future pathways.
- Ensure your family, with student career decisions to come, is represented at the conference. There is also a booklet for each student on how to get the maximum benefit from a careers fair.
