Mickle Trafford corner shop reopens after 20-month closure

A VILLAGE convenience store near Chester has reopened after about 20 months following a serious fire.

Mickle Trafford Convenience Store & Post Office, in Wells Close, had been forced to close after the incident devastated the flat above the shop.

The fire caused considerable damage and required extensive repair work and safety inspections before the premises could safely reopen.

The shop, which is set within a detached property at the end of a row of houses, is now back in business and serving customers again.

The reopening has been warmly welcomed by the local community after a long period of closure.
