Ryde founder Larnia Ryder wins coveted innovation award

An entrepreneur who launched her outdoor clothing business in Northwich has been named among the country's innovative women. 

Larnia Ryder, the founder of sustainable clothing brand Ryde, has been crowned a winner in the Innovate UK Women in Innovation Awards.

After launching the business in October 2021, Ryde has gone from strength to strength, culminating in Larnia's recent recognition.

And for her efforts in making outdoor gear more accessible for all, Larnia has now been named one of the 50 women leading the charge in groundbreaking industries across the UK.

Larnia, who now splits her time between Northwich and Chester, said: "Winning this award is a huge honour.

"We’re here to inspire everyone (and every body) to enjoy the outdoors and shift the focus from ‘doing less harm’ to ‘doing more good’ for both people and the planet."

Since its launch, Ryde has consistently sold out collections and built a loyal community.

The brand has also won several awards, including the StartUp Awards for Fashion 2024.
