What is Work Based Learning?

As part of their programme of study, University of Chester second year undergraduates have the opportunity to engage in a 5-week work placement.

This provides students with insights into future careers and introduces them to work-based skills development and critical reflection whilst contributing to the work of the host organisation.

The University of Chester are currently looking for organisations who can:

  • Provide a 5-week unpaid placement, 4th May – 5th June 2020.
  • Involve a student in the organisation like a regular employee.
  • Agree tasks and objectives with the student through a Placement Objectives Document.
  • Provide any reasonable adjustments for those with disabilities/SEN.
  • Conduct appraisal
