Aldous Books in Chester confirmed to have opened in city

A bookshop specialising in a fine and rare books has confirmed its opening in Chester. 

Aldous Books opened on Saturday, April 5, in Godstall Lane, as a second store to accompany its first foray into the business in Liverpool.

Steve Aldous, from Aldous Books, said they were delighted to have joined Chester’s business community and said there was plenty of books about the city for people to enjoy.

“This is our second fine, rare and antiquarian bookshop after our initial one at Liverpool Bluecoat Arts Centre.

“We have plenty if Roman history and Chester history books, military, art and theology too.

“We are located in Godstall Lane close to the Cathedral.”

The shop’s opening hours are Wednesday to Saturday from 10.30am until 5.30pm and from 11am until 4pm on Sunday.
