Antrobus Arms named finalist for Taste Cheshire's Best Pub award

The Antrobus Arms on the outskirts of Northwich is in the running for Best Cheshire Pub at the Taste Cheshire Food and Drink Awards 2024.

It would cap off a positive year for the pub, having been ‘highly commended’ at the Cheshire Life Food and Drink Awards over the summer.

Landlord Martin Barnes said: “It has been a hugely successful and rewarding year for the Antrobus Arms.

“To have enjoyed being a finalist for the Cheshire Life Awards was brilliant, to then follow it up with a nomination for Taste Cheshire is fantastic.”

Martin added: “It is a testament to the hard work and commitment from the team that has brought us this good fortune.

The Antrobus Arms was taken over by the Barnes family in 2018. Since then it has grown a reputation as a ‘destination dining venue’, with monthly tasting menus, steak nights and fish and chip Fridays.

The finalists were announced last week after a record-breaking 64,794 votes were cast by the public in the initial voting stage.
