Ashley Costello presented with Heart of the Community Award

A psychotherapist and author has been recognised with an award.

Ashley Costello, from Northwich, was presented with the Heart of the Community Award at this year’s Womanifest awards ceremony.

The award honours women who have made a lasting and meaningful impact in the lives of others.

Ashley said: "This award isn’t just about me — it’s about every child who has found their voice, every parent who has chosen to keep learning, and every school that has prioritised emotional wellbeing.

"Community is at the heart of everything we do.

Ashley was honoured for her work supporting children’s mental health through The Resilient Kid, a programme she founded to help young people develop resilience, manage emotions, and grow in confidence.

Her work includes delivering mental health programmes in schools, training coaches and educators, and providing parents with practical tools to support their children’s development.

She also trains franchisee coaches across the UK, helping to expand the programme’s reach.

The Resilient Kid programme delivers resilience-building tools and support to children, schools, and families across the country.

This has included the development of school accreditation pathways, the expansion of coach training, and the creation of resources for parents handling issues such as anxiety, anger, and low confidence in children and teens.

Judges at the Womanifest awards highlighted her commitment to making mental health education accessible, practical, and safe for children.
