Cat Cafe

Hundreds of CheshireLive readers have been responding to the news that Chester is set to have its first cat café in 2023.

Over the weekend CheshireLive reported that former GP surgery receptionist Kathryn Heath, who left the job due to the toll it was taking on her mental health, wants to fulfil a long-held dream of opening her very own cat café in the city centre.

She is planning to open Mog's Cat Café around April next year, having been inspired to come up with the name by her love of the popular Mog books by Judith Kerr. Kathryn, whose parents Sue and Peter read the books to her when she was a child, is currently in the process of finding a suitable city centre venue for the café.
