Cheshire gym complete refurbishment to triple in size

The biggest independent gym in Cheshire has opened its doors in Farndon after tripling in size.

Aptitude Health & Fitness in Farndon has moved next door into a 16,000 sq. ft. warehouse on Monument Place Business Park.

Family, friends and gym goers came together to transform the empty warehouse into the gym which offers more facilities to more people in the community.

More than 250 supporters raised more than £31,000 in a successful crowdfunding campaign towards the expansion and relocation of the gym, beating its target.

Aptitude’s founder Gareth Preston, a former athlete from Huntington in Chester, also invested £200,000 into the build.

Gareth said: “We’re absolutely delighted with the new look Aptitude which is a bigger and better offer.

“We’ve had some incredible support from friends, family, gym goers, local businesses and supporters over the past few months to get us ready – and without them none of it would have been possible".

“Aptitude was born with little more than just a room, a few mats and a machine”. 

Monthly memberships are available as well as pay-as-you-go.
