Chester-based glass factory Encirc celebrates top awards

A glass business based in Elton has said its recent wins at a prestigious industry awards ceremony was a ‘tremendous achievement’.

Encirc, based in Elton, picked up four top awards at the Manufacturer MX Awards, held in Liverpool on November 27, including Manufacturer of the Year.

Organised by The Manufacturer in partnership with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and with the support of this year's headline sponsor Columbus, The Manufacturer MX Awards are also the only peer-reviewed and judged programme of their kind for UK manufacturing.

Sean Murphy, managing director of Encirc – which supplies glass to the beverage industry – admitted his delight for his staff on their night of victory. 

“To be named Manufacturer of the Year as well as picking up three other wins, Supply Chain Excellence, Operational Excellence and Sam Bennington winning Young Manufacturer of the Year, is a ringing endorsement of all that we do at Encirc.

Elsewhere Encirc also won the Gold Newcomer Award at the In House Recruitment Awards in London last week and lifted the Marketing Impact award alongside Armstrong B2B at the Glass Focus awards in Leeds the week before that.
