Chester High Street Award

Hot on the heels of being named the most beautiful city in the world, Chester has now been hailed as having one of the best high streets in the UK.

In fact, only York could prevent Chester from ultimately laying claim to that title. A recent story by The Telegraph saw its UK destination experts pick the 15 best high streets in Britain.

Aside from Chester, the likes of Norwich, Edinburgh and Aberystwyth also made the list. Readers had the opportunity to vote for their overall favourite, which saw Chester come in second to York.
