A popular Chester pizzeria has won an award for the UK's third best pizza restaurant - and the top-ranked outside of London. Stile Napoletano on Watergate Street received the accolade from 50 Top Pizza Guide 2024.
The annual awards celebrate the best pizzerias in the UK and the ranking led the eatery to being entered into the World Pizza Guide, where it came 18th in the European listings. Originally operating within the old Chester Market, Stile Napoletano moved to its current premises in 2020.
The venue's success is attributed to doing the basics exceptionally well with ingredients being sourced with care, from high-quality Italian cheeses to San Marzano tomatoes, known for their sweet, full-bodied flavour. This careful selection extends to the dough-making process, which owner Giacomo Guido has perfected over years of practice.
