Chester: Twenty Eight to open new on-site bakery and deli

A popular Chester restaurant has announced plans to create a new bakery and deli.

Twenty Eight, in Pepper Street, is set to mark its third year with a remodel that will include a brand-new bakery and deli section.

The restaurant has a close relationship with Growing at Field28, in Daresbury, which supplies many of its Cheshire-grown produce and micro herbs.

The farm has its own specialist bakery, farm shop and café, which Twenty Eight hope to replicate – in miniature – at the city centre site next year.

The new bakery and deli will offer breads and pastries from the Field28 bakery, a breakfast and lunch café menu from the restaurant team, barista-made coffee and tea, and a deli fridge with a small selection of specialist provisions.

As spring arrives, so will seasonal produce, with vegetables and floristry available to take home.
