Could you recruit one of our talented University of Chester students or graduates?

In its third year, the University of Chester will be launching our ‘Get a Graduate Job’ initiative with the aim of connecting recruiting employers who have permanent, graduate-level positions to fill with final year students and graduates from the University of Chester. For the 2024/25 academic year, this will run as an all-year-round activity and our first vacancies will be advertised from 23rd September onwards.

Through this free service, you’ll have direct access to our talent pool and the dedicated support of the Careers and Employability team who will advertise your vacancies and help you develop brand awareness on campus through a low-risk recruitment.

As part of the campaign, you can expect us to:

  • Host your roles on our CareerHub platform
  • Alert relevant academic departments to your opportunities to enable them to bring them to the attention of their students
  • Promote your vacancies through our social media platforms
  • Include your role(s) on our Get a Graduate Job Mailer which will be emailed to students and graduates on a weekly basis.

If you have a role which would suit a final year student, as they transition into the workplace on completion of their studies, or a recent graduate, we would love to hear from you. Please email employers@chester.ac.uk if you have a role(s) you wish to include in our campaign and we will be in touch to discuss ‘next steps’.

We would advise getting in touch with us to discuss your recruitment needs a couple of weeks in advance of your vacancy going ‘live’ and would recommend at least a two-week application window, ideally two-four weeks, to ensure maximum opportunity for promotion.

As part of our Get a Graduate Job initiative, we will be hosting an inaugural Get a Graduate Job Careers Fair, for a small number of employers to promote graduate opportunities they may have. This will be in our Spring Term (February/March, date TBC) and this will be at no cost to employers. To express your interest in attending, please email employers@chester.ac.uk.
