An Ellesmere Port leisure centre's expansion proposal to include a new spa garden has been given the green light by planners.

David Lloyd Leisure on Stanney Lane sought to extend the rear of its premises to include a new spa garden, which would feature a hydro pool, firepit and sauna.

A planning statement, submitted to Cheshire West and Chester Council, said the new features would "enhance and complement David Lloyd’s existing facilities at the site. There is demand from existing and potential users for improvements to these facilities."
