Essar Energy Transition lands $400m financing facilities

Essar Energy Transition, which operates a refinery in Ellesmere Port, has secured $400m in financing facilities with three major banking institutions.

The financing package includes the successful amendment and restatement of the company’s Receivables Purchase Agreement (RPA), expanding total commitments from $150m to $350m.

Originally established with ABN AMRO in September 2024, the new $350m facility introduces NatWest (RBS Invoice Finance) with a $175m commitment.

Alongside NatWest, long-standing banking partner ABN AMRO has increased its commitment bringing its total participation to $175m.

Essar Energy Transition has also secured an additional $50m in committed financing from Natixis CIB, adding to its existing $100m financing facility.
