Landmark pub re-opens after £1.5million refurbishment

A landmark pub is preparing to reopen its doors following a £1.5 million refurbishment.

The Boathouse in Parkgate, a 19th-century venue overlooking the Dee Estuary, is set to relaunch in June after a three-month transformation.

Salford-based brewer and pub retailer Hydes says the investment is part of a wider multi-million-pound strategy across its entire estate.

Hydes has appointed veteran hospitality professional Dale Tozer as the pub’s new general manager.
