New deli and off-licence to replace Chester watch shop

A SPECIALIST deli and bottle shop has lodged plans to replace an independent watch shop near Chester city centre.

Trading as ‘Hooleigans Bottle Shop & Delicatessen’ the shop will occupy the double-fronted premises in Charles Street, Hoole, formerly the site of Watch Nation.

The business will operate as ‘a licensed off license as part of a bottle shop and delicatessen’ and will specialise in British and Italian products.

The licence application goes on to detail a selection of deli staples including ‘cheese, charcuterie, olives etc.’ and aisles with ‘pasta, sauces, tinned goods, sweet and savoury snacks’.
