New Parkgate cake shed opens from award-winning baker

AN award-winning artisan baker has launched a new cake shed on Parkgate Parade.

Beach Hut Bakes offers a variety of treats from cornflake brownies to Biscoff-stuffed cookies on an honesty-box system, six days a week.

The shed is the latest venture from Hannah Batson, who runs Victoria's Sandwich in Willaston - which recently won bronze at the British Pie Awards 2026 for its "Tipsy Cow Pie".
