Plans for Slazenger padel club in Ellesmere Port warehouse

AN UNUSED building in Ellesmere Port could be set to become a Slazenger Padel Club, according to plans submitted to Cheshire West and Chester Council.

A change of use application has been lodged for a building in Rossmore Road East, which has remained vacant since it was completed in 2022.

A planning statement, completed by Jigsaw Planning on behalf of Frasers Group, proposes that the rectangular warehouse unit, known as Northside 45, would be repurposed to offer 12 premium indoor courts, coaching, training programs, a pro shop and equipment hire.

The padel club, which would be operated by sports brand Slazenger, is proposed to be open to members between 6am and midnight each day of the week.

Slazenger currently operates nine other padel club locations across the UK.
