A Cheshire-based specialist paint firm - established by the fifth generation of the Johnstone paints family - is set to expand and launch a new eco-friendly product, after securing a six-figure funding package.
Polar Specialist Coatings was established in 2018 by brothers Tom and John Johnstone who are drawing on 130 years of paint manufacturing experience to create high-performance products, including its sustainable bitumen paint.
The business, which operates from Winsford and first started selling its products on Amazon, secured the investment from NPIF – FW Capital Debt Finance, which is managed by FW Capital and part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund.
The funding will help finance growth, and follows the company securing partnerships with Selco Builders Warehouse to distribute its product range.
