Restaurant 209 targets destination dining after renovation

A POPULAR restaurant near Chester has transitioned from its original café and restaurant concept to a dedicated, elevated dining experience.

Restaurant 209, in Farndon, first opened its doors in September 2024 after husband-and-wife team Felix Shore and Anna Roseblade-Shore returned to Cheshire after years working in hospitality across the UK and New Zealand.

Alongside their families, they transformed the space at Top Farm in Farndon in just five weeks, creating a restaurant that quickly established itself within the local food scene.

Originally operating as both a café and restaurant, 209 offered everything from coffee and brunch through to evening dining.

However, its owners say that as the business has evolved, so too has the vision behind it.

The latest renovation marks a deliberate decision to focus entirely on the restaurant, creating a more intimate, sophisticated and immersive environment centred around evening dining.
