Engineering consultancy Tier Consult Group is providing structural, civil and environmental engineering services on the £180m Knauf Insulation project on the former Tata Steel site in Flintshire. The firm also unveiled a new board.
Enabling and remediation works received planning approval from Flintshire County Council in July, clearing the way for site preparation ahead of a planned 200,000 sq ft production facility.
Construction of the facility itself is subject to a separate planning permission currently being determined.
The scheme is backed by more than £14m from the North Wales Growth Deal and is expected to create 137 direct jobs, plus hundreds more in the supply chain.
