Wetherspoon

Wetherspoon has been given the go-ahead to expand The Bull and Stirrup Hotel in Chester city centre.

The pub company purchased the adjoining Upper Northgate Street building - formerly a medical centre - so it could combine the two properties to create a bigger pub and outdoor garden space, as well as eight extra hotel rooms.

Full planning and listed building consent applications were submitted to Cheshire West and Chester Council in June last year. The renovation work as well as the erection of a single storey extension has now been given the green light.
